Yella Sky Sound System outta Indonesia are playing their part, growing the world dub scene. Not quite a sound system yet, but Agent K, (suitably named, as he is the agent, producer and dubbing master) and Uncle J, the bassist, are in the process of building, they have been very active making movements in the east, and have also teamed up with musicians from other continents.
There latest project has been the release of Timur Riddim on the 12th February, on Langit Kuning Records. The ‘Timur Riddim’ single set comprises of two tracks taken from Yela Sky Sound System’s original riddim. The track of “Sisi Timur” blends the riddim with a mild harmonic sound of melodica by Sami, personnel of Roadblock Dub Collective from Lampung. While “Blok Timur” presents a powerful flow of Mighty Che from Jambi, one of a heavyweight MCs from Indonesia.
The “Timur Riddim'' from Yella Sky Sound System released its visual artistry through their IGTV official canal. With the support from King Mad on the artwork and Jozzi Gesiradja on the audio it can also be enjoyed through various DSPs.
